Ambassador Ayşe Hilal Sayan Koytak was born in Istanbul in 1979. She has graduated from English High School for Girls and gained entrance to Istanbul University Faculty of Engineering in 1996. She received her B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in Computer Science and Communications Engineering from the University of Duisburg Essen, Germany in 2002. Ambassador Sayan Koytak attended German Federal Academy for Security Policies (Bundesakademie für Sicherheitspolitik- BAKS) in Germany for 6 months in 2011. She completed her Ph.D. in Social Policies at the Institute of Social Sciences of Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University in 2022.

From 2005 to 2016, Ambassador Sayan Koytak served in different positions such as the Foreign Policy Advisor at the Prime Ministry and Deputy Undersecretary at the Ministry of Family and Social Policies.

From 2017 to 2022, she served as the Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye to the State of Kuwait. From 2023 to December 2024, she was the Director General of Information Technologies and Director General of Science and Technology Policies at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Ambassador Sayan Koytak was appointed as the Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye to the Kingdom of Bahrain by the Presidential Decree dated October 24, 2024 and began her tenure on December 1, 2024.

Ambassador Sayan Koytak speaks English, German and Arabic. She is married and has two children.
